Bukacek, 64, is an internal medicine physician who runs a private medical practice in Kalispell and served a partial term on the Flathead City-County Health Department. Bukacek was appointed to the board in January of 2020 and announced her resignation this March, citing her run for the PSC. Bukacek’s name will appear on the ballot as “Ann Bukacek.”

She serves on the Montana Shooting Sports Association’s board of directors and has been president of the Montana Pro-life Coalition since 2008. Bukacek is widowed with five children and 14 grandchildren.
